New Emergency Egress Grille Now Available
DALTON, OH - Wayne-Dalton’s new Emergency Egress Grille provides secured access to public areas yet automatically opens upon detection of an alarm or power failure. This prevents entrapment in the event of an emergency and allows immediate access to emergency personnel.
The Emergency Egress Grille is ideal for schools, hospitals, and office buildings, or applications that require different levels of access at various times. It comes in sizes up to 24’ wide and 20’ tall.
Features and benefits of the Emergency Egress Grille include:
Motorized operation – Heavy Duty ½ HP or 1 HP motor operator combines easy- operation for daily use with automatic opening during an emergency situation.
Self locking assembly – Grille lock secures a fully closed grille and automatically engages upon attempt of forced entry, yet remains disengaged during normal or emergency operation.
ICC Compliant – The grille complies with the standards of the 2003 International Building Code when ordered with the optional emergency exit push-button station.
Fail-Safe – The grille opens fully during a power failure or alarm activation, without the use of electric or battery power source.
Automatic reset – Upon restoration of power or clearing of the alarm, the motor operator automatically resets itself and is ready for normal operation.
Durability – Wayne-Dalton’s Grille provides a durable construction technique that provides many years of reliable and consistent performance with low maintenance.
Four pattern options are available, including G6 (standard), G1, G7, and G8. Other options include steel mounting tubes, hood & fascia, Lexalite inserts, Drop Stop Device, bottom bar sensing edges, powder coating (188 RAL choices), clear, bronze, or black anodized options for aluminum components, cable releases, emergency exit push-button station (for ICC compliant requirements), and high cycles.
