AirGuard™ & ElectraGuard™ Wireless Sensing Edges Offer Great Protection for Motorized Doors
DALTON, OH - For even more protection during motorized operation of doors, Wayne-Dalton now offers the AirGuard and ElectraGuard Wireless Sensing Edges. These optional sensing edges eliminate the electric coil cord connecting the bottom bar sensing edge to the operator, thus preventing potential damage. Even better, the opportunity for wires to interfere with components on the wall or to catch unsuspecting people is gone. No more cords hanging in the opening! Both sensing edges are available with Wayne-Dalton’s Rolling Steel Service Doors, Fire Doors, Grilles, and Shutters.
The AirGuard Sensing Edge uses Air Wave technology to provide a high level of security. The air switch connected to the bottom bar astragal is highly sensitive and will detect the slightest obstruction, to reverse a closing door. Air Wave technology is much more reliable than standard pneumatic sensing edges, as well as being applicable for doors up to 60 feet in width. The adjustable air switch is connected to a wireless transmitter which sends signals to the receiver attached to the operator.
The ElectraGuard Sensing Edge also eliminates cords hanging in the opening. Similar to AirGuard, a transmitter is attached to the bottom bar and connected to the electric switch sensing edge. Upon activation of the sensing edge, the wireless transmitter sends a signal to the receiver attached to the operator to reverse a closing door.
