Wayne-Dalton Launches New DS-357 Windload Rated Roll-Up Door

MT. HOPE, Ohio (June 3, 2008) – Wayne-Dalton, a leader in garage doors and openers, has announced the launch of the DS-357 Roll-Up Door, a new model geared toward hurricane-prone and coastal regions. The DS-357 features round, continuous curtains made from galvanized steel, which gives maximum wind load protection. It is available in sizes up to 16-feet and comes in a variety of colors.

The DS-357 has product approval from the Florida Building Commission for wind load protection and has been third-party tested for uniform static air pressure. Also, for added protection, the DS-357 features padlocks and sliding curtain locks for maximum security. Another important feature of the DS-357 is the new bottom bar that incorporates patented corner blocks to help attain the +52 to -52 wind load.

The DS-357 was designed to offer homeowners in hurricane-prone and coastal regions several safety options, said Dave Osso, Wayne-Dalton channel marketing manager. Installation to masonry units or steel is quick and simple because it requires no special preparation or overhead tracks.
